It's great to meet you all! Thank you for being the first students to post your vokis! I'm looking forward to working with you this semester.

Please take a few minutes to read the vokis for everyone in your group of 6 here and respond to at least two of them in the comments.

  4. Hi Zully,

Good question for Katia! You did spell Farsi correctly, and I’m sure Katia would love to tell you all about her heritage. 

I totally agree with you and Mia about Paris! I would love to go to Paris too!

  5. Hi Mia,

It's really nice to meet you! I think that it is very awesome that you like to wear scarf's. You aren't the only seventeen year old student either in the class, I am as well. I think your aspiration of going to Paris is great

  6. Hi Kevin,

It's a pleasure to meet you. We have a lot in common in our lives. I am also using my parents GI Bill to get through school I think it's very cool that you came back to school after your retirement.

  8. Hello All

All your profiles are great! I have traveled to many countries, Paris was my favorite place to go. I went in Spring when all the flowers were in bloom. Veris was the most amazing place, with so much gold and crystal, a must see. Have lots of money when you go to Paris, very expensive.

  10. Hi guys!
It was great to listen to your introductions! I can give you guys a word of advice about Paris: don't go in November. It rained for three days of my four-day weekend there! I still had a great time, though, and I hope you all get a chance to go wherever you want in life :)

  11. That's fantastic that so many of you are interested in Paris and taking French. I've always wanted to visit Europe also! I've been studying Spanish for 14 years (4 or 5 years more seriously). I'm still not anywhere near perfect at it, but I love the language. I got to live in Peru for a little while, so I can relate to your desire to travel. :)

Zully -- Since Kat hasn't logged back in yet to answer your answer, I figured I would jump in for her. Farsi is the language that is spoken in Iran.

Crystal -- That's awesome that your grandma lives in England! Don't worry about the assessment. A standardized test can only measure a very limited set of information. You're a very capable student, just like Mia.
