List of Assignments

Good study tip: Go back through your notebook this weekend.  Organize it, complete any hand-outs that are not fully filled in, and make a list of anything that you are missing.  If you are absent, you will need to speak with me right after class when you return to get what you missed.  If you don't do this, you can fall behind quickly and it will be hard to catch up.  Don't take that chance!  If you lose one your hand-outs, also be sure and speak to me to get a new one.  I only make a couple extra copies of each hand-out, so do your best not to lose anything.

Here is a list of what you should have in your notebook so far:

#1: Syllabus
#2: How to Use Voki and the Blog
#3: The Three Steps in the Writing Process
#4: Supporting Sentences
#5: The Three Parts of a Good Paragraph
#6: Writing Effective Topic Sentences
#7: Writing Effective T.S. – Part 2
#8: 3 Parts of Speech: Nouns, Pronouns, and Verbs
#9: Sheldon Plays Sports
#10: Organizing and Typing Your Paper
#11: Conclusion Sentences
#12: Peer Review Training
#13: Seeing the Argument from Both Sides

  5. Unfortunately, I'm missing #11 handout, I believe that was the day I may have came to class late. I can make a copy from a classmate if you no longer have any.

    1. Yes, in the middle of the semester (Week 8) and at the end of the semester (Week 15). I will give you more information about this in class. If you keep your notebook organized and updated, you won't have any problem with the notebook check.

    3. Hi Kevin,

It sounds like you're a little behind the game on this one. Make sure that you have all the hand-outs that I have given you in class and they are appropropriately numbered. In Week 8, I'm going to be collecting your notebook and reviewing it for a grade while you take your midterm, so you will want to prepare your notebook carefully. Come see me if you have any questions.
