  2. In class I feel like I could write a whole essay or paragraph to the "Boo, Humbug!" article, and I picked a side for my essay or paragraph. I will be careful not go off topic and stay with the point. I also thought about what I'm going to write in my essay.

    1. That's true, Michael! Sometimes it can be hard to limit yourself to a paragraph! That a good sign that you are ready to progress on to essays.

I liked the Start early, have a plan

It’s a whole lot better to plan out your entire paper before you write rather than just diving in and figuring it out as you go along. “Plan how you are going to do your research, set aside a time to study. Create a calendar so you know where you are headed. Check it often. Start early, gather information, organize it and write the paper,” said one respondent.

because its always good to have a plan and not wait until the last minute. When you wait last minute you make many errors !

    1. Having a plan is half the battle. Once you have an outline you can follow, a lot of the work is done for you. The writing becomes more straightforward and less scary that way! Good point!

  4. i agree with creating an outline, because i use that technique all the time when i have to prepare for a writing project or if i am trying to just collect and organize information. it just makes things for organized and more clear.

  9. I agree with the tips. I think when writing a good paper you need efficient time to prepare so you can add context, depth and evidential proof to your paper. It would be nice if you did always have one month to prepare for a paper, but sometimes isn’t always the case. April C.

  11. When I was writing my narrative paragraph, I feel like I have to write a 3 page essay or something. Once I start to write, I can't stop and wrap it up. So the narrative was a bit tough for me. But very helpful tips, thanks!

    1. That's a common problem for people with the narrative. It's a story, so it feels like you can just talk and talk and talk. This is where you get to really practice your prioritizing skills and your organization!
