Critical writing and thinking is needed in my profession to complete certain tasks. Some of the things require specific step by step detailed procedures. Like creating an air foil, or weight and balance procedures.
ReplyDeleteI'm going for the medical career, will be like an assistant or a lab tech. which is the same with Mr. Chris in the other blog posted. That's I will be needed critical thinking and writing in my profession to specify the lab specimens procedures results.

I actually don't have a chosen career yet, but my career will have something to do with programing or architecture. If I chose a programming career I would have to know what the user wants or know where the bugs are. If I'm a architect I would have to communicate with the experts, customers, and workers because I have to know what they want and don't want, labor costs, etc.

I'm really trying to pursue my music career as a singer. The pass couple months I've been seeing a vocal coach to advise me on how to become better. I've been singing since 1997 and have taken voice lessons up until 2004. As a young girl I decided to quit the voice lessons and be more involved with my peers. I've sung at concerts, recitals, and even done competitions. I've also signed up to be on The Voice however my voice wasn't distinct enough. There are try outs in LA in January that I hope to move forward from there. I will not give up. The only competition is myself.
ReplyDeleteWriting helps a lot for me as a singer because I write my own lyrics. For me, my target are teenagers but mostly young adults. I want my lyrics to be inspiring and entertaining so it can engrave permanently in others' heads. I want to make a difference amongst most pop stars. I know I have the ability to, I just need to start somewhere.
These are fantastic goals, everyone! I really enjoyed reading about these. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and goals.
ReplyDeleteWriting may not seem important for an engineer but I believe it is because if you are unable to transfer your thoughts clearly onto to paper then no one else may follow your train of thoughts either. I hope that in the future when I am starting my career as an engineer I can be proud that I will be able to write as well as I do math and science.
ReplyDeleteI haven't really chose my major, I keep changing my mind. It's like what do you want to do for the rest of your life. So many choices to make. But hopefullly somewhere in the science field. I believe that critical thinking and writing relates to science in every aspect. Critical thinking has a bigger and better effect on science. Just because it involves a lot of chemistry, physics, biology, etc.
