Looking back...

Some of the most successul women in the world (Christiane Amanpour, Oprah Winfrey, Maria Shriver, Melinda Gates, Maria Sharapove, and others) share their wisdom and guidance from looking back at their youth.  This is the advice they would have given to themselves when they were younger...if they had only known better.

Check it out and then post a comment.

  1. This is really inspiring, I can relate to this because my older siblings always give me guidance throughout my life.

    1. That's awesome! How many siblings do you have? I'm the oldest, so I always felt responsibility to be a role model for my younger sister. :)

  2. I understand the older you are the wiser you become, and while at a young age mess up all you can just be sure to have learn each and every lesson along the way. Otherwise, it would have been of no use growing as a person. Oprah Winfrey, I'd love to meet her one day and I wish I had the older sibling like @kevinnguyen to guide me throughout my life, however as an only child, I learn things by observing my surroundings. Plus, I have cousins that are like sisters to me.

    1. Every day is a lesson, isn't it? I realize that more and more, the older I get. It's great that you are so close to your cousins. My cousins live in Michigan, and I don't see them very often. :(

  7. I only have a younger brother he is 13 years old. So right now he is barley starting his teenage years. Myself as the older sister i am trying to give him some guidance so he wont struggle through his high school years. I feel like his second mom because i am always after him.

  8. Take in any advice you can from older people. You learn something new everyday and its a good thing to take in as much knowledge/advice you can, it'll only build your wisdom and make you a more mature person at your age and then you tend to know a good amount of things. Cyrus I

  10. That is very great advice, especially when you're older you tend to look back and can always remember sometimes having to learn things the hard way, or I could have done that better. That is why I am always thankful when my elders give me advice on certain situations.

  11. I am the oldest. There just myself and my sister. For the longest time, my sister always felt she was the oldest only because she could hear everything. I couldn't. But as we are getting older, she is starting to look up to me and asking me for advices. I have watched her through her life growing up. We are so different. On some level, she is the oldest, On other level, I am the oldest. We both know I will always be the oldest. No matter what.
